FAQs

What are your prices based on?

I take into account things like how clear the brief is; how long and complex the project is; how urgently it needs to be delivered (very urgent projects cost more) and the value I add with my experience and expertise.

Why do you price by the project?

I think it’s easier for everyone. It’s easier for you to work out your budget, and easier for me to work out my cashflow. I’m always happy to give you an updated quote if the project changes.

Can you quote a daily or hourly rate?

Since people always ask, I quote a day rate of £440 and an hourly rate of £65. But I prefer to price by the project.

How do your rates compare with others?

According to a survey by ProCopywriters, the professional copywriters’ association I’m a member of, the average day rate for a UK copywriter was £433 in 2023. I’ve pitched my rate slightly above this to reflect that I have over 20 years’ experience as a pensions copywriter.

I need a copywriter, but not for pensions. Can you help me?

Yes! Pensions may be my specialist subject, but I’m happy to work in other areas. I’m really good at research and picking up information fast, so I can write about almost anything in plain English.
